I stamped today!

Yay! I had so much fun stamping with my friend Victoria today! I met Victoria at the A Muse shop awhile back and we hit it off immediately. She's a complete sweetheart and has such a positive outlook on life that's very refreshing.

To give our stamp time some direction we decided to work on some of the A Muse Addicts' Weekly challenges. This first one is for Jennie's weekly challenge, to make a card that celebrates something. I'm celebrating life, and what better way to celebrate life than with a glass of wine and some stinky cheese, huh?? :D Of course, add a good friend or significant other and it's perfect!!

Stamps: Wine and Cheese, Life is Good, Mini Oval
Inks: Palette Hybrid Burnt Umber, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Copics, Clear Spica Glitter pen
Papers: A Muse French Roast, Hawthorne, Tinplate PLP, White
Accessories: Marvy Giga Scallop Rectangle, Home and More ribbon (Michaels ?), dimensionals

The stamp of the week challenge this week is to use the Sushi Clear Set by A Muse, or the Robot Kid. I did one of each.

Stamps: Sushi Clear Set

Birthday RAKs

Hi! Are you having a good week so far?? I know it's early in the week, but I'm gonna be honest and say I'm already feeling stressed with projects to do and housework to be done!! Calgon take me away!! It's amazing how quickly life can get back into the same crazy cycle!! :D No worries though, I know everything will get done when it gets done and all will be good.

I thought I'd share a couple of birthday cards I've worked on this past month. This first card is what I made for Geeta for her 40th!! :D It's a bit of a strange layout, but I wanted to do something different than the norm. It's a criss-cross pocket card and of course I had to use the Rock Star for her cuz she's a rock star and what would go perfect on a rock star birthday card?? A cupcake of course!! So I had to put him on it along with some music notes from the ice cream truck stamp. When I stamped the sentiment, I realized it didn't quite look right to put the oval piece straight on the inside card so I tilted it to line up with the sentiment. Probably a bit confusing for Geeta when she opened it, but it's her 40th, gotta give her as hard of a time as I can!! :D

This next card is a bit of a stretch too!! I must confess that I actually haven't sent this card out to anyone yet cuz when I look at it, I feel like it has a monster face!!! The curvy zigzag line from the Fancy Borders clear set looks like a monster mouth to me the way I stamped it with all the elements together!! :D LOL!! But, I spent quite a bit of time trying to get this card manageable so I'm posting it anyway!! :D

I made this next card for some birthday RAK's for a few of my good A Muse Addict friends. Pretty sweet and simple.

All stamps, ribbons and papers used on these cards are by A Muse. Versafine Onyx Black ink, Certainly Celery SU ink, Ice Blue chalk ink, Copic Markers, CM Precious Metals silver pen, Signo White Gel Pen, Stardust Stickles, A Muse Twinkle Stickers, dimensionals and Marvy Punches also used.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Don't forget this Saturday night is our next Virtual Meeting of the A Muse Addicts!!!!! I hope you'll be able to join us for the party and challenges!! :D

I'm Back!!

Hey Everyone!! I'm home from my trip to Nicaragua! I got back last week and have been catching up on life here at home and had lots of activities going on so I hadn't had a chance to pop in until now! What a crazy adventure the Nicaragua trip was, many highs and lows and a lot to soak in. Of all the different activities our team got to do, what will stick out most in my mind for years to come is the looks on the children's faces when you simply smile at them or say hello or give them a hug or hold their hand. Completely priceless, their faces would light up like the sun with huge smiles that pierce your soul!!!

I'm gonna make this post short today since it's my anniversary and I should be spending time with my hubby rather than on the computer, but hopefully I'll be able to post some more later this week.

This is the card I made for my DH for our 11 year anniversary. My how time flies!! This has been a rough year for us, tons of struggles and emotional ups and downs, much tougher than any other year I can think of. Thankfully we've weathered the storm and are seeing blue skies now. :D I love this Chinese Proverb stamp from A Muse, it definitely hits home for me right now. It's crazy that we have to go through rough times to grow in our relationships, but it IS definitely rewarding when we make it through and are wiser and more mature for having gone through them.

All stamps and papers used on this card are by A Muse, also used A Muse heart Twinkle Stickers, SU slit punch, Doodlebug Lily White mini brads, Signo white gel pen, Copic markers (B34 Manganese Blue, W2 Warm Gray #2, and R29 Lipstick Red), Versafine Onyx black ink, and Versamagic Thatched Straw ink.

Thanks for stopping in today!! I've missed blogging the past few weeks!! :D

Hugs and blessings to you all!!
Luv,
Rhonda :D
